12 Days of Patchmas – Day 12
Merry Christmas from all of us at Patch Design!
On this very special day, Christmas Day and the final day of our 12 Days of Patchmas, we’re proud to share a recent story of our company giving back to those within the community. We feel privileged and lucky to have had a wonderful 2016, full of amazing clients and projects, and wanted to spread our joy to others. We believe that when you are in a position to help others, you have a responsibility to do so.
Through St. Matthew’s House in Hamilton, we were able to make two families’ Christmases a little brighter. The week before Christmas, our team assembled and headed to out to purchase Christmas gifts for a single mother and her eight year old son, and a senior woman. It truly felt awesome loading up our carts up with toys, clothing, grocery gift cards and more for these families. We also picked up extra gift cards for St. Matthew’s to hand out to others who use their services. To make things even sweeter, our client, Canada Bread, joined us by donating kids’ backpacks!
We are grateful to be in a position where we can help others. Giving back in this way felt incredible. We cannot think of a truer way to feel the spirit of the season than by giving back to our community members. Our sponsorship of these two families confirmed that it is better to give than receive. We are excited to announce that our participation in St. Matthew’s House’s Christmas Program had such an impact on our team that we are committing to supporting local community organizations every holiday season moving forward.
If you are considering supporting a cause in the Hamilton area, we strongly encourage you to check out St. Matthew’s House. This charitable, non-profit agency works toward alleviating poverty and improving quality of life for people living in and around some of the most impoverished areas in Hamilton, Ontario.
